This program focuses on a dog being able to detect the owner's medical conditions through scent to alert them in important situations. A trained scent dog may recognize certain scents, for example,  allergens present in food.

While this is not a perfect solution, nor a replacement for other medical devices, many owners feel that these dogs provide a sense of comfort to their condition. To increase performance, we will be activating a high scent drive within the dog. Drives can lead to high distraction and this may be prevalent in your dog during this imprinting process. Obedience is required for this program.

To be able to have a successful outcome for this program, the client will need to bring accurate samples. All samples are collected through saliva and can be swabbed with a cotton ball. Before beginning this process, please schedule a complimentary consultation.

Because some breeds are more successful than others at these tasks, a guided puppy selection is required for this program. Exceptions may apply if the owner already has a dog, however the dog must pass a rigorous screening for qualification of this program. If the dog does not pass the screening, the dog does not meet the qualifications for this program.
